ARBUCKLE, Calif. – Colusa County Supervisor Kim Vann, candidate for Congress in California’s new 3rd district, released the following statement today in response to the Bureau of Labor Statistics report that California unemployment has remained among the highest in the nation at 10.8 percent:

“For the thousands of Californians still struggling to find work, today’s jobs report is a clear sign that John Garamendi’s solutions aren’t working. Californians have faced years of double-digit unemployment, and instead of working toward common sense solutions that encourage job creation, Garamendi has been an ardent supporter of the failed economic policies that have driven our nation deeper into debt, while doing nothing to get Californians back to work. To get the economy back on track, we need more pro-growth solutions that empower small businesses to create jobs, and less of John Garamendi’s failed economic agenda.”

Kim Vann is running against Rep. John Garamendi to represent California’s new 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives. The new district is made up of all or parts of Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.
