New Video: These Aren’t Gaffes

WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee releases “These Aren’t Gaffes” to demonstrate President Obama’s lack of commitment and understanding of the poor economic conditions. Just last week, it was revealed that President Obama’s Jobs Council has not met in 6 months, yet he found enough time for 111 fundraisers and 10 golf outings. This is on top of his latest comment that job creators didn’t build their business– “somebody else made that happen.” The more these happen, the more obvious it becomes that these aren’t gaffes, this is what President Obama believes.

Romney To Obama: “The Time For Stonewalling Is Over”

“This isn’t a partisan issue; it’s a national security crisis. And yesterday, Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said, quote, ‘I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks.’ This conduct is contemptible. It betrays our national interest. It compromises our men and women in the field. And it demands a full and prompt investigation, with explanation and consequence. Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished. The time for stonewalling is over.” –Mitt Romney

National Security Leaks Coming From Obama’s Ranks

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA): “I Think The White House Has To Understand That Some Of This Is Coming From Its Ranks. I Don’t Know Specifically Where, But I Think They Have To Begin To Understand That And Do Something About It.” SENATOR DIANNE FEINSTEIN: “I am aware of that, I think that’s a correct analysis. I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from its ranks. I don’t know specifically where, but I think they have to begin to understand that and do something about it. I mean, there’s one book they can read and they’ll see it very clearly. And I think that should be the case. I think you know what the president actually knows about this is difficult because with respect to intelligence he is in a bubble. He has his daily brief, called the PDB, the President’s Daily Brief, early every morning. And so he gets briefing from intelligence I don’t believe for a moment that he goes out and talks about it, I don’t believe the briefers go out and talk about it, but who knows who else. And I think that the importance of this has to be really set by the president himself. And hopefully he will do it, and I think he’ll most likely read the book and see it himself.” (World Affairs Council, Washington, DC, 7/23/12)

Another Manufacturing Slowdown Hits The Obama Economy

“Today’s manufacturing report is just further evidence that President Obama doesn’t have what it takes to get our economy moving again. After three and a half years of failed liberal policies, the President has left us with an economy where manufacturing is slowing and businesses aren’t hiring. On Day One, Mitt Romney will take immediate action to give manufacturers and all businesses the confidence they need to hire again.” – Amanda Henneberg, Romney Campaign Spokesperson

New CBO Report: Obama Continues To Strike Out On His Health Care Promises

PROMISE: In 2009, Obama Promised That ObamaCare Would “Cost Roughly $900 Billion, 800 To 900.” OBAMA: “Now, what I’ve proposed is going to cost roughly $900 billion, 800 to 900. That’s a lot of money. Keep in mind it’s over 10 years. So when you hear some of these figures thrown out there, this is not per year; this is over 10 years. So let’s assume it’s about $80 billion a year. It turns out that about two-thirds of that could be paid for by eliminating waste in the existing system.” (President Barack Obama, Remarks At A Town Hall Meeting, Grand Junction, CO, 8/15/09)

Mobile Billboards and Targeted Facebook Ads Introduce Voters to Democrat Candidates – and California Voters Aren’t Going to Like What They See

Washington – A new National Republican Congressional Committee mobile billboard and targeted Facebook ad campaign is launching today, introducing Californians to four Democrat candidates running in open congressional seats. Voters don’t know much yet about these candidates, but they are about to discover some troubling facts as these billboards travel across four California congressional districts and pop-up on their Facebook feeds.

Republicans Stand with Small Business Job Creators in Fight to Stop Excessive Regulations

The majority of American small business owners say excessive red tape coming out of Washington is making it harder for them to grow their businesses and create jobs.  House Republicans are listening, and taking action this week on the Red Tape Reduction and Small Business Job Creation Act (H.R. 4078) – part of the Plan for America’s Job Creators – which will put the brakes on the Obama administration’s excessive regulations that are weighing on the already-weak economy. Here’s a snapshot of the regulatory onslaught small businesses are facing, and why this legislation is critical for helping the economy grow and create jobs:

POTUS Ducks Jobs Council Because His Hand-Picked Experts Echo GOP on Jobs

Inquiring minds would like to know why President Obama hasn’t met with his once-highly-touted Jobs Council in more than six months. It’s been reported the Council was created “in part to inoculate himself” from an anti-business record, but the president has insisted, “This has not been a show council. This has been a work council.” And with unemployment at 8.2 percent and businesses represented on the Council predicting higher health care costs as a result of Obamacare, they probably expected some follow through from the president. So what gives? The White House suggests the president, with “a lot on his plate,” is just too busy to be bothered with the Council. Given the president’s heavy fundraising schedule and wandering priorities, that seems to most like a stretch.
